Hi! My name is Mrs.
O’Connor and I am so happy to be a part of the Poynette Elementary first grade
team this year. I am even more THRILLED to be your teacher and to get to know each
one of you and your families this year! It’s going to be a fun year, full of
lots of learning and adventures. I want to know all about YOU, but first, I’m
going to tell you a few things about me.
I grew up in
Appleton, WI with my parents, a sister, a dog, and a cat. My family is
very important to me! After I graduated from high school, I moved to Madison to
attend the University of Wisconsin. I studied elementary education and worked
with awesome Kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students in Madison. I soon realized that first grade is my favorite! This
will be my fifth year teaching first grade in Poynette.
My husband, Mr.
O’Connor, teaches 6th grade math at Poynette Middle School. Someday,
you may have him for your math teacher! We live
in De Forest and both love teaching in Poynette. In our free time, we love to being outdoors, traveling, cooking, going to Brewers games, and reading. We recently, we traveled to Australia. We had so much fun and I even got to hold a koala and go snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef.
